                                 Llandudno Festival of Transport 2015

Once again this show was held on the Bank Holiday Weekend Saturday 2nd May until Monday 4th May on what was a very wet weekend.
Although the weather was not very good 296 was not much better, a faulty suspension air bag sprung a very bad leak on the way witch meant that the bus had very bad suspension, but with care I managed to get to Llandudno in 1 piece, although I have not got much hair I had a lot less when I got there.
Also booked in was Dave Wheatleys Barton Transport Val 14 Fleet no 966, we travelled together so if anything went wrong one of us was on hand.
The good thing about this weekend was that 296 celebrated its 50th birthday!

After the last picture of the tractor line up the weather deteriorated and the field
became a swamp. Then I had to see to the problem of the suspension and make
sure that the bus was alright to drive home. Note how it was leaning on the above
picture, I blocked the air inlet pipe to the rear offside air bag off with a 5p coin,
but on reflection I should have filed a 1p coin to fit then I would have saved 4p.
I managed to drive back with no problems, but if I can't find a replacement air
bag soon the bus will be grounded until I can and that means missing some shows.
