My thanks to Robert Stewert of Stapleford Lions for is invite on what was a pleasant show and fine weather.
Autokana and Bus Rally.
This is an annual event held about the same time but not in the bad conditions that occurred on that day, it was continuous rain all day, but a large amount of vehicles turned up who's owners were not put of by the rain.

In the mid afternoon things got worse with the weather and most of the vehicles including 296 went home, but is was a two day event and Monday was better but 296 did not go as it was on show elsewhere. My thanks to Simeon of Nottingham Heritage Vehicles for his invite to the show.
Wellow Maypole celebrations..
This was an unusual event to take a bus to but donations to this show were to go to the Chloe Cotton fund to help children who suffer from "Cystic Fibrosis" a genetic disorder that claimed the life of my daughter Andrea 21 years ago.I had never seen a maypole dance before but I found it very entertaining, the whole event was village inspired, something we in urban areas do not participate in. All this takes place on the village green and with a carnival atmosphere it was very good. The young lady who had been voted to be this years May Queen was Emma Knight, this young ladys mother Sahra was Andreas Specialist nurse for over 20 years hence the reason we where at the show. Apart from the normal entertainment in this type of show a duo who were finalists in Britains Got Talent in 2009 was entertaining the crowd they are '2 Grand' a family act grandfather John and granddaughter Sallie from Doncaster.
The bus,the miniture steam and the minis were the only vintage things on show.
The day was very good, the weather was'nt bad a few showers and a lot of interest in 296, my thanks to Sahra Knight for the invite and I look forward to doing it again if requested.
Bracebridge Drive Bilborough.
Again this was not a vintage event but was enjoyable, the weather was kind all day but turned to rain about 5 o clock. This was different from Willow this being an urban event.
